Pey or Pierre
“Pey” is Gascon for Pierre. And “Berland” was Archbishop of Bordeaux from 1430 to 1458. Chosen for his “purety of habit, taste for all things spiritual, and wisdom in earthly matters”, he re-established order in a diocese that had been pillaged by the 100 years war.
