Place des Grands Hommes
Here, in the middle of the triangle formed by the Allées de Tourny, the Cours de l′Intendance and the Cours Clemenceau, we find the circular Place des Grands Hommes, like a sun whose rays are represented by streets named in homage to the great men who inspired the French revolution. It′s the first instance of the Revolution physically imposing the use of names of illustrious persons, who had been an inspiration to the city, when naming its streets. You can reach or leave the underground car park via a quiet little alleyway that links it with the Chambre régionale des comptes, or regional Chamber of Accounts.
