Maréchal Foch : a grape variety
The tramline follows the Cours Maréchal Foch (1851-1929) – whose name was befittingly attributed to a grape variety – who was appointed field marshal of France and Great Britain after WW1 on to the Espanade des Quinconces where the Spirit of Liberty watches over the decidedly feminine city of Bordeaux.
