Cours du Maréchal Foch
It was in 1918 during the armistice that the former Cours du XII Mars, then the Cours du 30 Juillet, was rebaptised as Cours du Maréchal Foch. It goes without saying that this was to honour the commanding chief of the battle of the Somme of 1914, and chief of the allied armies in 1918. He led them to victory and obtained German capitulation as Marshal of France.
